Gallery Bergelli presents Marin Magazine's Get Covered! - an exhibition featuring paintings by Edgar Soberon, Daniel Tousignant, Georgette L. Osserman and Kathleen Lipinski.

For the fourth year in a row, more than 340 artists competed for the chance to have their work on the cover of Marin Magazine. This popular contest attracts painters, printmakers, photographers and other local or exhibiting artists who enter for the chance to have their work grace the cover of the only magazine that celebrates Marin County living. This year's winner is Cuban-born artist Edgar Soberón whose work will appear on the May 2010 cover and be displayed all month long at Gallery Bergelli. Attend the celebration event May 7 and get a chance to meet Soberón as well as the three runners-up. Appetizers and beverages will be served.

Edgar Soberon

Soberón studied art and eventually joined the faculty at Parsons School of Design in New York, teaching drawing fundamentals and printmaking. He has won many awards, been exhibited nationally and internationally and even seen his work become part of the permanent collection at the Library of Congress and most recently at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. After a year on sabbatical, he decided to relocate his studio to Central Mexico in 2002. He currently lives and works in the town of San Miguel de Allende.
